1. This test must be ordered by a functional medicine doctor or naturopathic doctor. Insurance may or may not pay for your initial consultation. If you would like to use our doctor, his name is Dr. Clement Lee. Here is the link to booking on his website: https://opthealthwellness.com/ (The office is based in Pasadena. However, you may conduct a virtual consultation and have the toxins test kit sent to your home. You don't even have to leave your home. It is a urine kit so you can ship the test kit back to the lab. Your results will be obtained within 2-3 weeks.)

3. If Dr. Lee is not available when you need the consultation or you need the test to be taken sooner, you can choose a different therapist in the drop-down menu. (If Dr. Lee is too booked out, I would recommend booking this appointment to order your test, then immediately book your 2nd appointment for a follow-up with Dr. Lee and schedule it for 4 weeks out. You should have your test report back and he can review your results and treatment protocol with you.)
4. After choosing your consultation date and time, you'll have to create a patient account.
5. Insurance typically will not pay for this type of testing and therapy, as it is considered alternative or preventative medicine. However, you can provide your health insurance information and the office can bill your insurance to see if they will cover any of the consultation. Consultation ~$200.
6. IMPORTANT: For your consultation you must tell the physician that you need the VIBRANT TOTAL TOXINS TEST (to test for environmental toxins and pesticides). There are several toxins tests that they offer so you must be specific.
7. After your consultation, you will receive an email from Vibrant America (lab) to pay for your test kit which will be shipped to you within a few days after ordering. Cost: ~$480 (If you have an HSA/HRA/FSA account you may be able to use these funds for the cost.)
8. You will receive the test kit in a few days and there will be an email sent to you when it is shipped. 
9. When the test kit arrives, you will want to take the test first thing in the morning. First-morning void urine is best because your urine has not been diluted by all the fluids you drink throughout the day, which may give you false low readings. If it is a Saturday, wait until Monday to take the test so that FedEx can get your sample to the lab on a day someone is working. 
10. After you send your test kit, Vibrant America lab will send you an email to notify you it was received.
11. You will receive results in about 2-3 weeks. I would recommend emailing Optimal Pasadena's office within this timeframe to ask if your results have been received from the lab.
